    This was my first experience establishing a new dental service relationship following a move, after 12 years with the same dental office. I believe Lansing Elite is a great location, have a great team and service, but they need to discuss services/treatment beforehand with patients. I was surprised with an unexpected bill at checkout, only to find that part of the bill was covered by my insurance as had been communicated to me, when I enquired.

    As a new patient I must say it was one of the most enjoyable dental experiences I’ve had. The dental hygienist C. was not only professional, comprehensive and informative, but had a great sense of humor! Dr. S listened to my concerns and was flexible in treatment planning based on my feedback. The practice accepted my insurance which was a real plus.

    Received a flyer in the mail, so figured I would try them out. Ended up paying double (with insurance) than flyer amount for those without insurance. After consultation which went very well, had to schedule follow up services but couldn't get in for two months. The week of follow up services they had to reschedule me due to hydienist leaving. They couldn't get me in for another three months. Sorry but waiting for five months for follow up services. Since I am still receiving flyers in the mail it seems they only care about getting new patients and not continuing relationships with new established ones.

    (Update: Lansing Elite Dental is resubmitting claim documentation. I now have new insurance, but service approval hasn't yet been received or authorized by my new carrier. I advise that you obtain approval from your insurance before having dental work done.) I hope to soon be able to change this review from 2 to 5 stars, but this is the situation: I like the care providers at Lansing Elite Dental very much, but have had a problem with two insurance claims. According to my carrier at the time, Lansing Elite Dental did not provide documentation required by my carrier in order to pay the claims for two core buildups for crowns. My insurance did cover the crowns themselves. Today, I was told by Lansing Elite Dental that I was responsible for the two unpaid claims totaling $690. In the past two months, I have left messages for the billing department, but LED never returned my calls. Today they told me that I was responsible for payment. My insurance statements indicate that I am not. I called my insurance carrier again this afternoon, and was advised that I could not appeal the decision, because the fault was not mine, but that the claims would be paid once supporting documentation from the doctor, including X-rays, notes, etc. was provided to the carrier. I have left two messages for LED since then, and still have received no response. Today, I was advised of additional work needed, but no appointment was scheduled pending approval from my new carrier. I hope to be able to upgrade this review as a result of successful resolution, but right now my advice is, "Patient, beware."

    Dr. Dahl and each of her assistants I’ve had the help of have been amazing! I feel so comfortable having open communication and haven’t been brushed off for my anxiety. Nor have I felt that they held any frustration by frequent breaks of service due to an easily tired jaw. The team is always happy to help and so accommodating whether it’s been providing blankets, water, chapstick, or extra rinses. Service is always with a smile while they help me work on mine!
