I recently started going to CrossFit Freshwater, and I have to say, the experience has been nothing short of amazing! The culture at the gym is truly something special and welcoming. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a sense of camaraderie and support that I had never experienced before at any other gym.
The coaches are not only knowledgeable and passionate about what they do, but they also genuinely care about each person's progress and well-being! They take the time to explain the movements in the workout and ensure that everyone understands before starting. If you don’t understand the workout, the coaches never make you feel like you’re asking a dumb question; they always assist by showing the movements in the workout on a one-on-one basis with smiling faces.
What really sets this gym apart is the community, though. I would consider myself an “outsider” to CrossFit, and everyone, regardless of skill level, is incredibly welcoming and encouraging. There's a real sense of teamwork and motivation, making every workout feel like a shared accomplishment. (One of my favorite parts is fist bumping everyone after they have finished the workout!) Another thing I noticed is that no one cleans up their equipment until everyone has completed the workout; instead, they encourage and cheer you on, chanting your name and making it feel like you can do it!
Beyond the mental and physical benefits of doing CrossFit, I feel like I’ve made new friends for life. I've invited them to activities outside of the gym and gotten to know them better, all thanks to the amazing community here at CrossFit Freshwater. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.

I’ve been around the CrossFit community since 2010. I’ve been a member of multiple CrossFit locations in the area. I can 100% say that this is the best CrossFit I’ve been to! I can’t find anything bad to say about the place. It’s well run, the price is very reasonable, it’s clean, the equipment is in good shape, the coaches are great, the workouts are good, kids are welcome (they have a small play area), and best of all there is a great community of people and the camaraderie is outstanding! It’s the first place I’ve been to that has no drama! Everyone is there to get a good workout in, make some friends along the way, and better their health and fitness level. No matter what your level of fitness is CrossFit Freshwater is a welcoming place to everyone! CrossFit Freshwater is the best gym in Saint Clair Shores!

Highly recommend this CrossFit gym. I’ve been a member for over a year now and would encourage all skill levels to give it a try. As a single parent I’ve been lucky enough to bring my daughter as I workout and demonstrate that persistence can help you progress to your goals. The atmosphere is extremely supportive, unlike any gym I’ve been to. Coaches and fellow members provide encouragement to members of all levels. I’m happy to be a part of the CrossFit Freshwater family!

I can’t say enough good things about this gym. The entire community, from the coaches to the members, is incredibly welcoming. No matter your skill level, whether you’re just starting out or have been into CrossFit for a while, it’s definitely worth a try.

I fell in love with this place on day one. Everyone is so friendly and inviting. The programming is top notch and the coaches are very knowledgeable and helpful. It doesn’t matter what your fitness level is, they will make every workout work for you. I’ve been to other CrossFit gyms and this one stands out. It also has a great community of friendships and activities outside of the gym if your interested. This gym has made me a better athlete than I ever thought I could be.
