If I could give them 0 stars I would. My cats been missing for over a week (she’s an indoor/outdoor cat). I’ve been stopping at the shelter every few days to check if someone had brought her in. Two days ago she showed up on my porch but wouldn’t come in. I stopped at the shelter today to rent an animal humane trap. On the adoption side, I spoke with Sue. She asked me if my cat was spayed and I informed her that she wasn’t….due to my cultural practices. I let her know that when my cat is closer to turning 1…I’ll spay her. However, her reaction and comments were disrespectful. She kept asking me what I would do if she had kittens and when I said I’ll care for them she was spectacle and kept asking/making unnecessary rude comments. Sue went on to explain to me that cats have multiple kittens and they are hard to care for. As if I couldn’t possibly understand or know anything about cats/cat pregnancy. I felt like I was being talked down to the entire time I was standing there especially with Sue assuming I wouldn’t care for my cat or her maybe kittens. The girl next to her (brown hair and glasses) felt this and she kept trying to cut her off. But to no avail, Sue felt the need to disrespect my beliefs while assuming I wouldn’t care for my animal/s. I am trying to understand how someone with such rude comments can work in an animal shelter. Also I would like to note that my issue isn’t that she asked if my cat was spayed…my issue is her assuming I wouldn’t care for them and then proceeding to ask me over and over again if I would take care of my cats kittens. As if I didn’t answer her the first time.

Thank you Thank you for making this free clinic possibly to Dearborn and Detroit residents for our cats and dogs. Everyone who donated there time to make this event possible thank you. The volunteers who took there time to help thank you and especially the veterinarian's.
I waited not even 2 hours as I bought my 2 kittens to have vaccines and chipped. Waited in the car and they came out to get my kittens. They gave me a bag of dry cat food and toys.. Just not enough words to tell say how much this meant to me. You all are awesome and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.❤
