We love speciation!! So much so, that my now husband and I went on our first date there. So when it was time to find a wedding venue, we reached out to see if it was possible to host it at Speciation. Thankfully Mitch and the crew said yes, and we had literally the best party ever.
When I say working with the specation team for our wedding was a breeze, I mean it. Any questions I had was answered quickly and with detail. The day of the wedding Jane and Carly took such good care of us and all of our guests. They handled our crew with grace and everyone had a great time. We were able to get into the venue early to do all the set up so that we could have a few hours of peace before the big day started. It was a beautiful space to have our wedding and we are so thankful we did.
We also choose to have the team make us a wedding beer. We got to chat with Mitch for the ideas we had and he brought them to life. We went with a hot toddy inspired beer. They even let us submit our own label for the beer. It was a great gift for our guests, to have on tap during the wedding, and have some extras to drink in our first year married.
If you're looking for an awesome place to host an event, I highly suggest reaching out and working with the speciation crew!

If you love absolute creamers, then this place is absolutely for you!
The Brewmaster, Sweet Lu, is a standalone mixologist in Grand Rapids, crafting up some of the tastiest dirty bevies around these parts. Downright righteous flavors and spectacularly sips to satiate your desire for sours.

Interesting sours. Tried their centennial, stout and a mango Diddy. All were tasty. A bit pricy though. $10 for a mango seltzer. Pretzel focaccia was tasty. Deviled eggs were so-so.

1st time stop and was very surprised at the Great tasting sours they had. No parking in back all spots are marked for the apartments so we parked on the street up front no biggy. If you dig Sours make the stop and enjoy their twist on this good style beverage.

This was another place we found on the Tag A Brew site for locally brewed beer. This was a quiet place right off Wealthy Street (drive slow or you will miss it). My husband had another flight here to sample their beers and he really enjoyed them also.
