This is a very nice shop packed with a great variety of fabric and embroidery items! There is also a representation of spinning and weaving items. The shop owner, Carolyn, generously gave my daughter a bag of spinning and weaving magazines after sharing knowledge and encouragement with her.

The Hen House is awesome!!! The have a huge supply of beautiful fabric.
I went there one day and didn't have enough momey with me to by 1 yard of fabic. The lady behind the counter help give me a deal so I could get the fabic I wanted. That was awesome!

I am a young person super into crafting and I came to this shop with my mom and her friend in search of punch needle products. I found all the products I was looking for, but I will never go back because of how I was treated. One of the ladies in the shop immediately seemed to flag me as someone to watch because I was young. The women there also were rude to my mom when she was purchasing fabric from them. I would be looking at thread and she would keep appearing in the room I was in about every 5 minutes, and she would stay for a bit to watch me. I was extremely uncomfortable and I felt very targeted. When it came time to ring up all of my supplies that same woman who followed me around was extremely rude to me. Once I pulled my card out of my wallet to pay for my things their attitude towards me changed immediately once they realized I could pay for myself and they were getting money from me. This was a very hurtful and upsetting experience especially as this shop has lots of great products but I will not go back because of the women who work there.

Great selection but I felt like an unwanted stepchild in the shop. The owner was unfriendly and honestly quite rude. I spent almost $120 and would have spent more but I was treated so rudely I just stopped looking. I was made to feel like an inconvenience at the best. I won’t return. You would think a nice sale would make an owner happy not make that person feel unwelcome.
