Just want to give a shout out to the folks working here. We rushed our senior dog, Rio, into the clinic a couple weeks ago as he was suddenly having difficulty standing and breathing. They helped to diagnose him with an inoperable tumor on his heart and we had to make the impossible decision to let him go. We were/are devastated, but I’m extremely grateful that the staff here was so empathetic, respectful, and patient while we navigated this heartbreaking situation. They rushed to try to help him, they were patient as I repeatedly missed instructions and parts of the paperwork in the chaos of it all, they gave us space to say goodbye and grieve, and afterward sent a thoughtful sympathy card signed by all the staff.
I know most pet owners will probably say the same, but Rio really was the most amazing dog. He was so loved and I wish you all could’ve gotten to see him when he was doing better. Thank you for your kindness.

I would give more stars if I could. I've taken my cat here twice and both times they were able to take her right back and start checking her out. Their prices were much more reasonable compared with other emergency vets I've been to and they did not do a lot of unnecessary testing to drive up the cost. They were still thorough and very caring to my kitty. They even clipped my cat's nails after I mentioned how difficult she is, without me even asking. Amazing service. The staff were also extremely friendly and kind to me, a very worried pet mom. Hopefully I won't have to take my cat to the ER very often, but if I have to in the future I know I'll take her to VES. Based on my experiences, I would highly recommend this place.

Such a great ER for your pets! I took my dog here last year and had a wonderful experience. Most recently i brought in my kitten who was very sick. I called 4 other ERs all around Metro Detroit and all had a wait of 6+ hours. We drove in the snowstorm and upon arrival we were checked (within a minutes) and treated all in about an hour. The staff was so polite, educated and comforting. Anytime i called back with a concern or question the Dr. answered everything i had asked. Happy to say shes feeling much better !!! Thank you!!!!Appreciate your service! :)

The vet told me that my dog was treatable that he was dehydrated and that his White snd Red blood cell count was elevated because of pancreatitis, but that he just needed an IV and certain meds. They told me that they expected him to be fine, but treatment could take anywhere from 12 hours - 7 days. What makes me angry is that he didn't get treated for his condition until about two hours after we arrived. They even cared for a cat that came in after he did... which died. So the facts are we got there at 11:38pm the vet came out to greet us asked me to fill out paperwork as she carried my dog back and put him in a concrete Kennel. A few minutes later she came back up to the counter and told me that he was stable and asked whether or not he ate any Marijuana. We told her no. She asked us to step into a private room to talk. We discussed his symptoms. And the vet again asked whether he ate anything that he shouldn't have... she specifically asked if he ate marijuana. We told her no, there is no possible way. She went back to the back for another period of time after we discussed symptoms, but at that time the door opened and a couple brought in a cat. The vet went out to talk to the couple with the cat. My dog still waiting... the vet gave the couple the same process that we just went through... my dog still waiting... then the vet came back in and told us that a cat came in and needed help immediately and put the burden on us to okay that she help the cat before our dog. About fifteen minutes later she came back to us. At that moment Her first priority was to give us a break down of cost of a blood test $480.00 then she explained what a blood test would check for. We told her yes, do it. She explained that a blood test would take up to 40 minutes. We told her to start. So we wait some more. The results finally in, the vet explains the outcome and tells us that he needs an IV. We tell her to start to which she replied okay just let me get a financial breakdown first... waiting... now we have to come up with $1260.00 at 1:20am so we figure it out. Payment is processed and then finally my dog is treated for his condition at 1:30am the IV is finally started. At 4am we got a call telling us our Dog died. You be the judge of our experience, this is a fact based review, not a review based on emotion. The response given by the management proves that their first priority is Financial... NOT your pet. My experience was this exactly plus that they didn't have a clue that my dog needed help immediately, but thought that they could care for another patent before my dog. Two death’s occurred in that two hours, the cat an my beloved Georgie. I have included the picture of what this vet referred to as my boy being “stable” (our last interaction with him) and a picture of him with our other two dogs just a week before he was murdered by this vet.

Misdiagnosed pet. Said he had an infection- if we would have listened our pup wouldn’t be here. Avoid at all costs- he had an obstruction and they gave him meds to stop pooping. Ended up taking him to Blue Pearl within 2 hours of bringing him home from there and he was admitted and had emergency surgery as his intestines were completely obstructed. Honestly, as unprofessional and uneducated as this vet was I’m glad they misdiagnosed him as I would not trust them to cut into any pet and my boy probably wouldn’t be here with us if they did.
Also want to make it clear that money was NOT a concern during this visit and we were willing to pay whatever it took to get our boy home healthy. Unless you plan on refunding the hundreds spent at your clinic , there is no need for me to reach out. I will continue to share my story and be sure to warn others to avoid this practice by any means necessary. Especially when scrolling social media and people are searching for an emergency vet. Convenience, low cost and fast triage is NOT worth a pets life.
