This place is not what it used to be. Recruiters used to be more involved in helping you get a job. Now they just throw your resume at a company and wait, which is something I could've done myself. A lot of people are direct hiring check that out first please. Staffing agencies need to go. It's time to cut out the middleman and apply myself.
It's bad enough they hardly do anything for you, they sent the wrong stuff in for me to an employer and it cost me the prospective job. Their building got a facelift, took them 15 years to finally do that. Which sums up their efforts to get you a job. They're great at polishing turds as lazily as they can while 'looking' professional. A lot of companies in Jackson like multimatic are turning to other agencies or hiring from the street now. In other words .. if you really pay attention, use them. Then at the end of it ask yourself if you couldn't have just done it alone. If the answer is yes then they aren't anywhere near providing a service for anybody.
They also misrepresent jobs to get candidates on site. Sent me out on a forklift position as a material handler to have the factory try to put me on a machine as an operator. Look into this company before using them because despite all of the fluffy fake reviews they put on here there's a bunch on there backing up what I am experiencing with them..ignore the belated response from the inept Xcel Staff. I walked off the first day because the job was misrepresented with an entirely different job title. Any person with self respect and half a brain wouldve done the same. Even after misrepresenting the job the Excel Representatives expect you to stick around. Pay attention people. Material handler is not the same as a machine operator. When I called up the office after the incident it did not help matters that they were extremely nasty about it. In 30 years of using temp agencies, Ive never come close to dealing with this level of incompetency. You don't hire somebody on as a material handler and expect them to take on a machine operation job just because they walk through the door and you got them there. Incredibly unprofessional. Pointing out "you must be a bad employee" instead of constructively looking into the situation and correcting it as a business shows everyone precisely what they'll be dealing with when it comes to Xcel staffing. The day you close those doors is coming. You're losing accounts left and right. Just not fast enough for me. Maybe that's why you pay so much attention to these reviews and fluffing them up with fake reviews and plastic responses.

This place is really nice looking inside and out. The workers there are really polite and nice !and is always in great moods and is very much helpful on my job search . I highly recommend everyone .
